Aroma Yoga: Be Intentional in 2018

The end of the year brings contemplation, regrets, hopes and dreams into our conscious mind. Did we achieve what we set out to do in 2017? Did our deeply ingrained habits get the better of us?
In Sanskrit, the term Samskara refers to our mental and emotional patterns that we practice daily creating deep grooves that are hard to carve out of. (Think of your skis/snowboards on a well worn path).
As we enter 2018, I invite you to a practice of being intentional in living your truth. Intentions are different from resolutions and we will explore more of that in this class.
Resolutions are about using our willpower to cause an outcome that may or may not be in congruence with our values or our deeper truth.
Intentions, on the other hand, is about understanding that every thought, attitude, response and action towards ourselves and others directly impact our experience daily.
Yoga in combination with essential oils affect our physical and mental alignment, allowing us to access that deeper inner self that governs our subconscious and our habits.
Our work is to realign physically, mentally and spiritually in order to cultivate awareness, live mindfully and ultimately be the best version of ourselves, whatever that may look like in different seasons of our lives.
It is about acceptance and surrender and yet the realization that we have the power within us to carve different paths for ourselves. The polarity of Yoga reflects the polarity of life.
